METEORA
Meteora - mɛtiˈɔːrə
Greek: Μετέωρα, pronounced [meˈteora]) is a rock formation in the regional unit of Trikala, in Thessaly, in northwestern Greece, hosting one of the most prominent complexes of Eastern Orthodox monasteries, viewed locally as second in importance only to Mount Athos.
Twenty-four monasteries were established atop the giant natural pillars and hill-like rounded boulders that dominate the local area, mainly from the second half of the 14th century under the local rule of Simeon Uroš. Six of these are still active and open to visitors: the monasteries of Great Meteoron (est. 1356), Varlaam, Saint Nicholas Anapausas, Rousanou, Holy Trinity, and Saint Stephen. The latter became a community of nuns in 1961, whereas the former five remain managed by monks.
Meteora is located in between the town of Kalabaka and the village of Kastraki at the northwestern edge of the Plain of Thessaly near the Pineios river and Pindus Mountains. The Meteora complex was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1988 because of its outstanding architecture and beauty, combined with religious and cultural significance.
It all began with oraganizing a trip to Athens and it was more than wonderul.

NAFPLIO
Ναύπλιο,
A coastal city located in the Peloponnese in Greece. Founded in antiquity, the city became an important seaport in the Middle Ages during the Frankokratia as part of the lordship of Argos and Nauplia, held initially by the de la Roche.
Following the Fourth Crusade before coming under the Republic of Venice and, lastly, the Ottoman Empire.
The mystical place like the Venetians’ ‘Naples of the East’ and the first capital of Greece. Viewed from above, Nafplio oozes romance: tile roofs, grand homes and a blue-green sea. The famous Bourtzi, Akronafplia and Palamidi castles add a sense of drama to this stunning seaport town, consisting of fortresses, neoclassical buildings, old neighbourhoods, wide sidewalks and large squares.
The Acropolis of Nafplio, which the Turks named called it Kale, was erected by the Venetians and later passed on to the Byzantines and Ottomans.
Don’t forget the sun drenched beaches and blue green sea.
Arvanitia promenade, with its view of the Argolic Gulf, is Nafplio at its most romantic, reaching Arvanitias Square. Walking beneath the rock of Akronafplio and the pretty little chapel of Panagia tis Spilia (Virgin Mary of the Cave).
At the epicentre of the old town is Syntagma Square, surrounded by historic buildings – Trianon, the Archaeological Museum.
Corinth
Corinth was a Greek, Hellenistic and Roman city located on the isthmus which connects mainland Greece with the Peloponnese. Surrounded by fertile plains and blessed with natural springs, ancient Corinth was a centre of trade, had a naval fleet and participated in various Greek wars.
In the Roman period, Corinth was a major colony and for over a millennium, it was rarely out of the limelight. The city was famously visited by the Apostle Paul c. 51 CE. Today, the ancient city lies in ruins but there still stands an impressive temple dedicated to Apollo.
Athens
Sprawling and congested, Athens has a compact, pleasant tourist zone capped by the famous Acropolis — the world's top ancient site. In this historic town, you'll walk in the footsteps of the great minds that created democracy, philosophy, theater, and more…even when you're dodging motorcycles on "pedestrianized" streets. Romantics can't help but get goose bumps as they kick around the same pebbles that once stuck in Socrates' sandals, with the floodlit Parthenon forever floating ethereally overhead.
TEMPLE OF POSIEDON
Poseidon pəˈsaɪdən, pɒ-, poʊ
Ancient Greek: Ποσειδῶν) is one of the twelve Olympians in ancient Greek religion and mythology,
presiding over the sea, storms, earthquakes and horses.
He was the protector of seafarers and the guardian of many Hellenic cities and colonies.
In pre-Olympian Bronze Age Greece, Poseidon was venerated as a chief deity at Pylos and Thebes, with the cult title "earth shaker"; In the myths of isolated Arcadia, he is related to Demeter and Persephone and was venerated as a horse, and as a god of the waters.
Poseidon maintained both associations among most Greeks: he was regarded as the tamer or father of horses, who, with a strike of his trident, created springs - the terms for horses and springs are related in the Greek language To His Roman equivalent is Neptune.
Arachova
Arachova (Greek: Αράχωβα, also Αράχοβα) is a mountain town and a former municipality in the western part of Boeotia.
Since the 2011 local government reform it is a municipal unit, part of the municipality Distomo-Arachova-Antikyra. It is a tourist destination due to its location in the mountains, its traditions and its proximity to the town of Delphi. The town is a popular day or weekend trip destination from Attica and a gathering place for the rich and famous. This is not to be confused with Caryae (also spelled Karye) which is a town in the Southern Peleponnese that used to be called Arachova.
